Tasting notes
Good deep red. Pure, high-pitched aromas of blackberry, violet and minerals. Sappy and youthfully imploded; more about perfume and precision today than about texture and weight. Another wonderfully sappy 2013, finishing juicy and pristine, with outstanding palate-saturating perfume and an utterly weightless impression. A potentially great example of this vineyard; Leroux did indeed present this sample at the end of our tasting.

The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Amoureuses has a very elegant bouquet, very pure with dark cherries, crushed violets and minerals. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, crisp acidity and tightly wound on the more masculine finish that I was expecting. Good density here, a little muscular perhaps, I would afford this several years in bottle.
