2013 Three Sticks Cabernet Sauvignon Moon Mountain Vineyard District

80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot. There is a bitter element from the nose through to the finish that is challenging. Firm, powder tannins carry long into the finish with a pop of sweet, ripe dark fruits in the mid palate. Though the wine finishes dry, the sweetness on the mid palate is surprising. A bit disjointed.
