Looks evolved at the rim. Solid, chunky, and very mineral. Thick, but very satisfying for the patient. Fully ripe fruit and fully ripe tannins. Lots of acidity. (JR)
Lovely and fruity, with loads of vanilla, berry and currant character. Full-bodied, with round and soft tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Very nice wine. Best after 2008. 6,665 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2003.

About the producer
Louis Gaspard d’Estournel purchased Cos Labory in 1847 and in tribute to this history, the Reybier family (owners of Cos d’Estournel today) acquired the Saint-Estèphe estate and its 35 hectares of vines in 2023.
