Dark magenta. Deeply perfumed aromas of ripe red and blue fruits, mocha, potpourri and exotic spices are sharpened by a smoky mineral overtone. Impressively concentrated mineral- and spice-accented black raspberry, mulberry, cherry cola and violet pastille flavors become livelier on the back half. Shows superb definition and finishes extremely long and sappy, with slowly building tannins and reverberating floral and blue fruit preserve notes.

Ripe, dark and spicy, no oak, slight microbial earthiness, black cherries, wet leaves, black tea. These wines are so viscous and weighty. They absolutely blanket your mouth. (SCJ)
