Tasting notes
40% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay. Winemaker: Séverine Frerson. Natural cork. RS 10 g/l. Vegan. Available in 282 stores. Autolytic character evident on the nose. Classic biscuit notes on the palate. Plenty of body and drive. More red fruit in style than lemon/citrus, underpinned with a firm line of acidity, fine mousse and persistent finish. (AWH)

The latest release of Perrier-Jouët's NV Grand Brut bursts from the glass with an expressive bouquet of ripe pears, citrus oil, crisp white peach and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, it's ample and enveloping, with a generous core of sun-kissed fruit, a delicate mousse and a nicely defined, delicately sweet finish.
This offers fresh and attractive fruit aromas with a gently flinty, white-peach and white-flower fragrance on offer. The palate has an attractive, fresh and crisp feel with creamy, crispy texture at the finish. Good NV. Drink now.
Probably base 2015, ‘Our brand ambassador has mastered the art of deciphering lot numbers’. Very fine mousse. Straightforward, rather sweet and chewy blend. Punchy but not refined. (JR)
