The 2019 Meursault Sous la Velle is backward on the nose, slightly more tertiary compared to Pierre Boisson's Les Grands Charrons. But there is an appealing fatness on the palate counterbalanced by a fine spine of acidity. Maybe just missing a touch of Meursault DNA, it builds with a sense of confidence and delivers a pretty finish. Enjoy now and over the next 8 to 10 years. Tasted at the Meursault dinner in Hong Kong.

Notes of peach, pear, white flowers and toasted nuts introduce the 2019 Meursault Sous la Velle, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming wine that's seamless and enveloping, girdled by lively acids and concluding with a saline finish. This is drinking well out of the gates.
