The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Fairendes 1er Cru is a little more conservative on the nose than Moreau's other cuvées, perhaps without quite the same degree of flair. The palate is saline on the entry, sour lemon and orange rind lending palpable tension with a vibrant and quite persistent finish. Excellent.

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Fairendes is very pretty, wafting from the glass with notes of pear, orange oil, lime zest, fresh mint and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, it's bright and chalky, concluding with a saline finish.
