80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, Mazeulo and Graciano. Coffee, mocha, musty palate. Not 100% clean – but still pretty good, despite that. (RH)

The 1994 Prado Enea Gran Reserva is the first to reveal age in its appearance. It offers a terroir-dominated nose with dried fruit aromas in the background. Like the 1996, it could be headed in either direction. The safe course is to drink it over the next few years. Importer: Jorge Ordonez, Fine Estates from Spain, Dedham, MA; tel. (781) 461-5767
