Destemmed, cold soak, open-fermented, 11 days on skins, matured in small format French oak (35% new) for 15 months. Enthralling, intense finesse, a juicy, vibrant mouthfeel and flavour delivery that is quite exceptional. If you don't want to partake in vinocide, leave the O’Shea alone and drink this or better still the Rosehill. Seldom has terroir spoken with such eloquence in Australia.

A very complex young wine that really draws you in on both the nose and palate. Smells of ripe dark fruits, plum paste, boysenberry and black cherry, redder notes too, then dried leaves and dried woody notes. The palate has enchanting texture, layered and long, the gently grainy tannins ride just above the surface of ripe dark plum and cherry fruit, hints of chocolate and sweet spcies, earth too, really impressive, long and full of promise. Classic power and concentration in a mid-weight frame. Best from 2020 and for 10+ years.
