Tasting notes
The 1985 is firm, tannic, and unyielding, particularly for a wine from this vintage. Deep in color, ripe, medium bodied, but needing time, this wine will provide graceful drinking if cellared. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted, 3/90.

Yet another winner from Pavie. Caresses the palate and defines elegance. Lovely mint, berry and chocolate character. Full-bodied yet very refined. Better after 1997.--The Bordeaux 50. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1994
