Tasting notes
Medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir Home Field Vineyard features scents of raspberry and strawberry preserves, rose petals, tea leaves, iron and bass tones of mushroom. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and lifted with powdery tannins and surprising fruit concentration for its featherweight frame, and it finishes with incredibly detail, energy and length.

Thereâs regal sensibility to this with the finest velvet and meat with dried strawberry. Medium to full body. Creamy tannins. Juicy fruit and orange peel. Polished and pretty. Drink now or hold.
Dense and dry and ambitious but rather more guts evident today than Royal St Robert. Lots to chew on, and lots more to come. (JR)
Rosewater, mint, dried cherry and sweet tobacco give the 2016 Pinot Noir Home Field its perfumed, aromatically expressive personality. Still very tight on the palate, the 2016 offers lovely translucency and persistence, although a little more fruit depth would have been nice. Perhaps that will develop with more time in bottle.
