Tasting notes
Medium red. Compelling perfume of raspberry, candied cherry, rose oil and minerals. Buoyant red berry flavors boast impressive depth and are complicated by suave cola and sassafras qualities. Becomes smokier with air and finishes with excellent clarity, cling and nervy persistence. This is a blend of Pommard and Calera clones.

The unnamed 2006 Pinot Noir from a Sonoma Coast vineyard appears to be top-notch. It exhibits rich, medium to full-bodied flavors of forest floor, black cherry, raspberry, licorice, and earth. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 823-5603; Fax (707) 823-6709
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
