Score 88/100 · Robert Parker, Oct 2016
My favorite is the 10,000-case cuvée, the 2014 Red Blend, a blend of 45% Zinfandel, 26% Syrah, 18% Petite Sirah and the rest smaller quantities of Tannat, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and Barbera. This wine has a Mediterranean peppery, loamy underbrush note, lavender and floral components, and a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel with plenty of glycerin, big fruit and a dramatic, even flamboyant, overall personality. This is just a beauty, in a bistro-styled, heady (15.7% alcohol), opulent style of wine to drink over the next 3-4 years.
