Tasting notes
The 2015 Petit Sirah Palisades Vineyard is fabulous. Inky, deep and plush, the 2015 packs a serious punch. Much of the wildness of Petite, especially in the tannin profile, has been tamed. The 2015 is a gorgeous wine in every way, even if it is a bit less varietally expressive than some other vintages I have seen. I suspect much of that has to do with the style and personality of the year.

The 2015 Petite Syrah Palisades Vineyard is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. Inky blue and purplish fruit, graphite, smoke, crème de cassis and lavender develop beautifully in the glass. Rich, deep and intense, the 2015 exudes richness, while capturing all the pedigree that has made Palisades such a highly regarded site for Petite.
The massive 2015 Petite Sirah Palisades Vineyard shows great fruit, soft tannins and plenty of blackberry, incense and white flowers. It should drink well for at least 20-25 years.
