Tasting notes
Bright medium ruby. Lively aromas of boysenberry, blackcurrant and licorice, avoid coming off as porty. Silky-sweet and a bit unrefined in the mouth, with dominant flavors of dark berries and chocolate. Tannins are substantial but ripe and sweet.

More complete and layered than the The Bully Cab, the 2012 The Albatross Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet that was fermented and aged 23 month in new French oak. Exhibiting classic Washington State Cabernet black and blue fruits, violets, crushed rock and toasty oak, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, brilliant concentration, integrated acidity and fine tannin, all of which come together beautifully on the finish. This is a new project for Chris that’s focused on 100% barrel fermented Cabernet Sauvignon. To say it’s off to a great start would be an understatement.
