Score 87/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Robert Parker, Dec 2014

The 2012 Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard’s zesty acids give it a clipped, medium-bodied mouthfeel. It has some attractive underlying strawberry and cherry fruit, but this is clearly another red fruit-scented and flavored Pinot with high acids as well as a narrowly constructed mouthfeel. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (707) 433-6425

Vivid ruby. Smoky cherry and dark berries on the deeply pitched, highly aromatic nose. Powerful black raspberry and Indian spice flavors stain the palate, picking up a suave floral pastille nuance with air. The smoky note comes back on the youthfully tannic, incisive finish, which lingers with serious tenacity and appealing sweetness.
