The dense ruby/purple-colored 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Au Sommet, from the winery’s estate vineyard on top of Atlas Peak, exhibits a pronounced earthy minerality in both the aromatics and flavors. The wine reveals attractive cassis and a Graves-like terroir character, medium to full body, and moderate tannins in the finish. It will benefit from another 1-2 years of bottle age, and should keep for 10-15 years.
