Vivid ruby-red. A heady, complex bouquet evokes red fruit liqueur, smoky minerals and fresh flowers, with notes of orange zest and anise adding complexity. Stains the palate with juicy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that are given bite by zesty acidity and a spicy element. Clings with very good tenacity on the finish, which is framed by silky, even tannins.

The Marcel Lapierre cuvée that contains sulphites. Pale smudgy crimson. Lots of true authentic fruit and some delicacy but something not 100% fruity on the nose. Better than the norm but by no means the finest. (JR)
