Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2023, Robert Parker, Oct 2015

The 2014 Pinot Noir Pastorale Vineyard used a slightly higher percentage of whole clusters and offers dark raspberries, sweet and sour cherries, and beautiful, fragrant aromatics with a hint of wild blueberries as well. This looks to be a successful 2014 that should drink nicely for 7-8 years.

The 2013 Pinot Noir Pastorale Vineyard is bright, precise and lifted. Rose petal, cranberry and cinnamon notes abound in a super-expressive, crystalline Pinot endowed with fabulous detail and nuance. In my view, the 2013 is a bit more refined and less bombastic than the 2012. The 35% whole clusters add an attractive sense of lift through the mid-palate and finish.
