Tasting notes
Their proprietary red, the 2014 Proprietary Red High Fidelity, is a blend of 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. Ratcheting up the level of richness, density and intensity, this wine offers blueberry and mocha, as well as plenty of floral notes intermixed with cassis and blueberry. It is beautifully rendered and full-bodied, with not a hard edge to it. The velvety tannins, the silky texture and the full-bodied richness and finish suggest a wine that can be drunk now or cellared for another 20 or more years.

The 2014 High Fidelity, Lede's Merlot-based blend, is round, succulent and inviting. A blast of dark red cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco and licorice are all pushed forward. Notes of torrefaction and mocha infuse the finish. Not surprisingly, the High Fidelity is the most accessible of Lede's 2014s.
