Tasting notes
The 2021 Meursault Désirée is represented by just two and a half barrels this year. It has a tightly wound, walnut and freshly sliced Anjou pear nose, with more citrus notes emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a touch of bitter lemon on the entry, orange rind and quince gaining depth towards the finish with admirable concentration. Desirable.

Aromas of pear, orange oil, toasted almonds and white flowers introduce the 2021 Meursault Désirée, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming wine with bright acids and a saline finish. This early-ripening site is another success in this cooler vintage.
Cask sample. Mid lemon. A touch of extra spice and richer, yellow-flowered fruit on the nose. Fresh acidity, slightly mellower perhaps. Medium-plus body and rich texture. Good length and volume. (MH)
