Tasting notes
The 2022 Chardonnay Estate, from vines planted in 2011, opens with soaring elderflower perfume that mingles with scents of nectarine, peach, vanilla, meringue and spice. The medium-bodied palate is concentrated yet energetic, its creamy texture and layered flavors balanced by mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, spicy finish.

A brilliant yellow/green hue, the 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is bright on the nose, with balanced notes of flinty wet stones, pristine green apples, lime, and a full-bodied yet approachable palate that’s light on its feet, featuring an elegant feel and delicate melon fruit on the finish. Drink over the next 6-8 years. This appellation wine is a blend from mostly declassified barrels from the single vineyard designated sites.
The 2022 Chardonnay (Russian River Valley) is a very pretty, open-knit offering. Apricot, spice, tangerine peel and a touch of French oak all grace this lifted, aromatic appellation-level offering from Arista.
