Tasting notes
The 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley was matured for 15 months in 44% new French oak. It’s scented of briary fruit, potpourri, orange peel and allspice. The medium-bodied palate offers concentrated berry fruit and expansive, spicy flourishes. It has a soft structure and just enough juicy acidity on the finish. 1,942 cases produced.

The 2019 Pinot Noir is a jeweled ruby hue and has layered aromas of pristine cherry, cardamom, rose petal, and sweet herbs. It has incredible clarity and focus, with a silky texture in its notes of raspberry liqueur and violets, and somehow seems to have more depth after the wine is gone. It offers fantastic balance and a sunny feel, with great refinement that lasts for ages. This wine is outstanding. Drink 2023-2032. From winemaker Michael Browne, also of CHEV and co-founder of Kosta Browne, CIRQ only produces a single Pinot Noir wine from their home in the Russian River Valley.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Estate is a racy, pliant wine that shows the laid back personality of the year off to great effect. Crushed red berry fruit, blood orange, mint and cinnamon are front and center. Silky tannins and lifted, perfumed aromatics pull it all together in style.
