Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2024-2029, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Aug 2021
Full bottle 1,299 g. 100% Gamay on old volcanic rocks and blue stone. Partially destemmed, long vinification, regular punchdowns. 30% aged in barrels and foudres. Black fruit and much more gamey than the 2020. Like well-hung roast pheasant. Some tartiness, juniper, black and pink peppercorns, roasted rosemary. A lemony sharpness over and campfire ash under dark blackcurrant fruit. Morgon with a glower. Needs charcuterie! (TC)
