Score 82/100 · Robert Parker, Aug 2014
A lightweight wine that is beginning to fade, this 2003 reveals notes of licorice, roasted herbs, loamy soil and washed-out red currants. St.-Estephe offerings tended to be impressive in 2003, but not this one. Drink it up.

Warm ripe mocha aroma. Spicy and rich but really not very bordeaux. Still, has better harmony than some. (JH)

About the producer

Ormes de Pez
The Cazes family – owners of Lynch-Bages – added this Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois estate to their portfolio in 1940, just one year after they purchased Lynch-Bages. The property comprises 32 hectares of vines in the north of the appellation, close to the village of Pez.
