2017 PerUs Bryn

Another ripe, sexy wine in the lineup, the 2017 Bryn checks in as 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Blackcurrants, mulled black cherries, chocolate, smoked tobacco, and a kiss of iron-like minerality and seaweed wrapper all emerge from the glass, and it’s a big, rich, opulent wine that packs serious amounts of fruit and texture. Despite all its upfront fruit, it has a great mid-palate, ripe, sweet tannins, and notable freshness on the finish, all pointing to a solid drink window over the coming 15 years or more.
