Tasting notes
An array of ripe citrus and stone fruits characterize the nose here with plenty of richness, roundness and easiness. Rich and ripe exotic flavors permeate throughout, all the way up to a chalky finish. 50% in tank, 50% in older barrique. Drink now.

(sourced from a schist site completely surrounded by Côte-Rôtie vineyards in the Côte Brune): Opaque ruby. Fresh black raspberry, cassis, olive and peppery spices on the fragrant nose. Lively and expansive in the mouth, offering juicy, spice-tinged dark berry flavors and a touch of candied violet. Displays an attractive marriage of richness and finesse, with sneaky tannins adding shape to a very long, penetrating finish. This suave wine could easily pass for a Côte-Rôtie.
Bottled early November so it may still take on a bit of flesh. Very charming nose – obviously Syrah and chock full of northern Rhône fruit. Lovely nose, notable acidity on the palate but not tart. To be drunk young! Tannins very light. (JR)
