The 2019 Las Posadas Proprietary Red comes from a site on Howell Mountain. While it shows the impressive structure common to many Cabernet-based wines from that AVA, this vintage is also opulent and flashy, with hints of pencil shavings accenting blueberries and cherries on the nose. Full-bodied and concentrated, it's framed by rich, velvety tannins that linger easily on the extended finish.

The 2019 Las Posadas is pure gold as well as a perfect wine. Darker plums, tobacco, bay leaf, iron, and graphite all emerge on the nose, and this quintessential Howell Mountain beauty is full-bodied, with incredible concentration and ripe tannins. There's an almost bloody, salty character on the finish. This insanely good red needs to be forgotten for 4-6 years and is going to cruise in cold cellars. As with just about all of Brad's wines, it has a singular character.

The 2019 Las Posadas is fabulous, not to mention a great expression of this site. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, lavender, savory herbs and blackberry jam infuse the 2019 with tremendous character. Explosive and deep, with tons of Howell Mountain personality. The 2019 is showing so well today. Broad, dusty tannins extend the finish. Superb.

The 2019 Las Posadas is inky deep, and full of flavor. Crème de cassis, lavender, licorice and chocolate are all kicked up in this decidedly sumptuous Las Posadas. The warmth of the year is evident in the wine's ripe fruit and exuberant personality. Silky tannins wrap it all together. I can't wait to taste this from bottle.
