Both Grenache releases are lights-out good in 2019. The 2019 Grenache reminds me of a great vintage from Clos des Pape in Châteauneuf du Pape with its ripe black cherry, mulberry, herbes de Provence, and spicy, peppery aromatics, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannins, and a great, great finish. It will continue evolving gracefully for another 15+ years.

The 2019 Grenache Estate was blended with 5% Syrah and bottled in August 2022. Its aromas are youthfully latent, unfolding slowly from savory touches of iodine, charcuterie and Castelvetrano olives to a core of wild berry fruit. The medium-bodied palate features bright, spicy fruit that offers restrained ripeness yet deep concentration. It has abundant, rounded tannins, pleasing bursts of juicy acidity and a long, nuanced finish. I love this combination of prettiness and savoriness!
