Drink 2015, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2015

Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Caillerets has a lot of SO2 on the nose, which is difficult to get past. The palate is also subdued by excessive sulphur and feels compromised on the smudged, slightly eggy finish. Clearly, I will have to come back and re-taste this.

More flinty and smoky than their Puligny-Montrachet, perhaps counter-intuitively. Lovely leesy texture and good density. Good length too. (RH)
