Tasting notes
Inky purple. Fresh cherry and cassis on the nose, with a suave mineral underpinning. Spicy dark fruit flavors are focused and youthfully taut, with firm tannic grip and spicy lift on the back. With air, strong minerality came to the fore, adding greater complexity. The firm, dry finish comes off as a touch brooding today, but this offers impressive potential.

Ruby-red. Powerful graphite and iron notes add dimension to the pure blackberry and cassis aromas. Remarkably intense in the mouth, with pure, spicy dark fruit flavors enlivened by a strong note of violet pastille and excellent mineral lift. Bright, brisk and suave on the long, juicy finish, showing outstanding fruit expression.
A blend from two different estates that incorporates wines from Beaumes, Diognières, Murrets and Rouméas. Very dark crimson. Mysterious and brooding on the nose. A certain glacial confidence (not putting on a show for the taster). Very rich and magnificent though at the moment not so obviously amazing for the appellation as the Côte Rôtie. Very majestic though singing in a slightly lower key than some of these wines at present. (JR)
