The first wine in this tasting that is noticeably reductive (struck match). Nicely so. Likewise on the palate, marked in that style but with enough fruit to hold the centre ground. Mealy, oaky, quite broad but the fresh acidity really holds the shape. (JH)
Focused, nutty, ripe greengage and apricot notes. Bright, fresh and mineral on the palate. Plenty of interest (and quality) on show. Impressive village Chassagne that could be GV . (AWH)
Pale lemon colour, quite strict nose, post bottling and sulphur. Clean pure and intense, with surprising weight of fruit, on the chunky side, though fills out the back of the palate. 13%. Tasted Oct 2021.
