Mid brilliant ruby with orange rim. Elegant cherry and tobacco nose with a fine layer of spice underneath. Lots of Sangiovese character in spite of the CS component. Freshness paired with grainy, fine tannin. Elegant and fragrant and fine. At its peak now. (WS)

About the producer

Querciabella
Literally translating as “beautiful oak”, Querciabella was created in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni. A pioneer in Chianti, he started farming biodynamically and experimenting with both varieties and winemaking – one result of which was Camartina, the property’s flagship Super Tuscan.
