Tasting notes
Good red-ruby color. Superripe aromas of black cherry and black pepper. Then high-pitched and surprisingly tight in the mouth, with firm flavors of blackberry, violet and pepper. In contrast to the Rattlesnake Ridge example, this is juicy, bright and light on its feet in spite of its full ripeness. Finishes firmly tannic, peppery and persistent.

The 2004 Zinfandel Turley Estate reveals aromas of seaweed wrapper (nori) intermixed with jammy cherries, loamy soil, pepper, and Chateauneuf du Pape-like garrigue characteristics. With wonderful sweetness and richness (it has one of the lowest alcohol contents of these Zins – 14.9%), it will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 4-5 years. (Release date 4/06) Tel.
