2022 Barolo

La Morra. 18% of the grapes came from Rocche dell’Annunziata, 82% Berri. 5% whole-bunch fermentation. Youthful mid ruby. Generous as well as complex on the nose with marasca cherry and rich raspberry compote. Real lift and depth on the nose. Rich cherry fruit with the perfect dose of acidity and with the tannins almost completely integrated into the fruit. They only creep up on the finish where they hit on lots of fruit. Ready now, but will hold. (WS)
