Score 87-89/100 · Drink 2023-2032, Neal Martin, Jan 2021

The 2019 Beaune Teurons 1er Cru showed a little reduction on the nose, but it has more complexity and terroir expression than the Toussaints tasted alongside - raspberry, cranberry and blackcurrants, a touch of orange pith in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins on the entry, a little rustic in style with a touch of astringency on the finish. I suspect that this will meliorate in bottle, so give it 3-4 years.
