Score 85/100 · Drink 2022-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2023

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst offers only modest depth and concentration, but its balance is commendable, given the challenges of the year. Ripe dark fruit, chocolate and spice make a good first impression, but there's not much of a mid-palate or finish to speak of. The blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot and 5% Malbec.

About the producer

Spottswoode
Spottswoode

Spottswoode is one of those rare Napa estates whose reputation rests less on volume or spectacle than on persistent exactitude. Set on the western edge of St Helena, where the Mayacamas rise and afternoon breezes temper the valley’s warmth, the vineyard occupies a favoured pocket of the appellation.
