Superiore because low yielding and alcohol must be a certain minimum such as 13.5%. 95% Carignano and 5% Bovale Sardo (much smaller grapes than Bovale Grande). Aged in barrique for 18 months and then in bottle for 12 months. Spicy, intense nose. Sweet palate entry and then still quite young and unformed. The most obviously oaked of these wines. Ambitious and probably still too young. (JR)
