Tasting notes
The 2020 Chablis Les Grenouilles Grand Cru has a crisp, mineral-driven bouquet. Orange pith and lemon zest hints emerge with time, and the oak is neatly integrated. The palate is nicely balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Elegant and refined, this gently fans out towards the finish and displays wonderful nervosité and tension. The oak is present but so deftly used here—a very seductive and "confident" Grand Cru Chablis. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Aromas of peach, sweet citrus fruit, orange blossom and nutmeg preface the 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles, a medium to full-bodied, layered and incisive wine that's satiny and mouth filling, with lively acids and a bright, mineral finish. This is quite a fine-boned rendition of Grenouilles that will likely put on weight with bottle age.
The 2020 Chablis Grenouilles Grand Cru has a well-defined bouquet of undergrowth, limestone and light floral scents, although at the moment it does not deliver the panache of the Valmur. The palate is very harmonious and concentrated, delivering fine depth and salinity, and quite rich toward the persistent finish. Very fine, though not top of the Droin class.
