Pale bright gold. Lots of botrytis almond and gripfix (that white paste glue that also smells of almonds), sweet like golden syrup but with a lovely spicy overlay where syrup is just sweet. Viscous and a bitter marmalade aftertaste. As good as many other first wines. (JH)
