Score 16/20 · Drink 2012-2019, Jancis Robinson MW, Dec 2014
This is a sample I overlooked when it was sent two years ago but the wine is still very much in commercial circulation. Very dark crimson. A little subdued on the nose, though certainly clean and fresh. Rather angular and bracing. Not particularly sweet and the nose is distinctly briary – like dried brush. The sort of port you could enjoy with cold meats in fact. Tannins are fully resolved. I think that at the Waitrose Cellar price this is distinctly GV . (JR)
