Strange nose: rhubarb? Then some spicy dark fruit. Oaky and a little dry on the palate. A bit harsh but I'm sure some protein-rich meat would help. (JH)

Mid crimson. Big bold and beefy. A sweet edge. Not enough refinement – just big and sweet. Then chewy tannins. Not at all refreshing. Note of coconut. (Average group score: 14.8) (JR)
