100% Sangiovese. Aged in stainless steel (66%) and in concrete tanks (33%) for 12 months. Mid to light cherry red. Seductive cherry aroma but also some spice and a more savoury edge – classic unoaked Sangiovese. Initial impression is straightforward fruit but there’s a real purity here, giving finesse and persistence. Elegant and finely textured. (JH)

Radda in Chianti. 100% Sangiovese. Just mid ruby. Ripe yet subtle and still a little backward on the nose and with hints of exotic spice. A little reluctant on the palate, too, with elegant cherry fruit. Youthful and with plenty of bitter-sweet powdery tannins. Not ready yet. (WS)
