Score 97/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Nov 2025

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeous. Aromatic and resonant, the 2015 retains stunning vibrancy. It's easily one of the freshest wines of the year. Crushed flowers, red-toned fruit, spice and blood orange are all nicely lifted. Vineyard sites are Oakville Ranch, Sleeping Lady and Vine Hill Ranch. The Accendo 2015 remains a mid-weight, finessed wine, just as it was on release.

The last vintage of Accendo made by Françoise Peschon before turning over the reins to Nigel Kinsman, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon shows a touch of garnet creeping into the wine's color, but it comes across as largely youthful for 10 years old, with scents of vanilla, sage and bay leaf joining redcurrants and cherries on the nose. It's medium- to full-bodied, silky-textured, elegant and long on the finish. It should continue to drink well for at least another decade.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is plump, juicy and wonderfully expressive. Super ripe dark cherry, plum, mocha, cinnamon, new leather and spice flesh out in a racy, radiant Cabernet Sauvignon endowed with tremendous depth and resonance. Easygoing and inviting, the 2016 will drink well upon release and for many years to follow.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is another step in the right direction at Accendo. Sumptuous, inviting and silky, the 2015 captures the raciness and richness of the vintage while retaining the admirable sense of restraint that is the signature of these wines. Red cherry, plum, lavender and spice abound, but as is always the case with these wines, the Accendo Cabernet is first and foremost a wine of balance and total class. Although the track record here is very short, so far these wines have shown an ability to grow quite a bit in bottle. I expect that may very well be the case with the 2015. What a gorgeous wine this is.
