Tasting notes
There’s a farcically tiny amount of this cuvée – just 80 litres or 102 bottles – from a clos within Champ Canet, and a Pernot family monopole (both Paul and Alvina). Given the tiny volumes, 60 litres were aged in glass wine globe and the remaining 20 in stainless steel. It’s a little closed at the moment, no great surprise given the reductive maturation, but there’s plenty of potential and concentration here. It’s got an intriguing nose of melon and seaspray, with a cool crisp profile and linear structure that clearly speaks of tis production method.
About the producer

Alvina Pernot is one of the most exciting producers of white Burgundy today. Based in Puligny-Montrachet with some incredible vineyards, this is a name to watch – creating taut and mineral styles of white Burgundy.
