60% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir, 4% Pinot Meunier from Kent and East Sussex. 12% of reserve wine from vintages 2009 to 2014. Aged on lees for at least three years. Dosage 8 g/l. Tasted blind. Hint of putty on the nose. Very beautiful texture. Creamy without being heavy. Great balance of fruit and acid. Crisp, clean and appetising. (JR)

Score 15.5/20 · Drink 2021-2024, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2020

60% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir, 4% Pinot Meunier from Kent and East Sussex. The 2016 went through malo and was blended with 12% reserve wines back to 2009, which had been held in both barrel and tank. Aged for six months on fine lees in tank and then three years in bottle. Dosage 8 g/l. Winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire. Pretty light nose and rather hard on the finish at the moment. Youthful with marked acidity (TA 7.1 g/l) although there is a little soft sweetness on the very end. This may well bloom into something a little more alluring. (JR)
