Tasting notes
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Three Kings comes from a single parcel in this great vineyard and is all Clone 7 Cabernet Sauvignon. Incredible dark fruits, graphite, iron, spice box, and an undeniable sense of minerality define the aromatics, and it’s a full-bodied, powerful, even opulent 2018 that has the vintage’s pure, focused, precise style front and center. Its balance is spot on, and given its structure and purity, it’s going to evolve for another 30 years or more.

Mark Carter's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Three Kings is a huge, powerful wine. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, spice, new leather, licorice and cloves saturate the palate in a dense, brooding Cabernet that will need time to come into its own.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon The Three Kings opens with bold, expressive scents of fresh red and black plums, black raspberries, redcurrants and dried Mediterranean herbs with hints of pencil lead, damp soil and tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of lively red and black berry flavors, supported by grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with a peppery kick.
