Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2016-2019, Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, May 2016

Small-batch open fermenters, 14 months in French and American oak.  Deep, blackish crimson. Minty, dark-berried nose with juniper aromatics that draw a fine medicinal line through to the palate. Dark intensity, charred plums and a black-cherry core. Silk-lined tannins that melt into the fruit. Rather sumptuous and hedonistic with a lifted sappiness on the finish. (TC)
