Fruit from Barossa and McGill. The sweetness of this old lady was a total surprise and delight! Gentle and trilling, like a robin's song. Still floodlit with light and life. Cashmere tannins. The perfume … balsamic cherries and a violin tang, like a single string played in a cathedral. A faint thrill of pepper on the end. Manuka honey on the softly mahogany finish. It tastes as if it's in a timeless place, neither falling apart nor gaining. Just there. (TC)

51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Shiraz. Warm vintage. Chestnut and varnish aromas, then tremendous milk chocolate, cassis and pepper character with a long, fragrant medicinal note. Tobacco smoke finish. Holding on, although not likely to improve, so I'd drink this soon. (RH)
