Score 16/20 · Drink 2013-2018, Jancis Robinson MW, Jun 2013
Winner of a gold medal in Paris in 2011! Medium ruby. Slightly muddy nose but lots of ripe if slightly rustic fruit. An attractive balance with sufficiently ripe fruit and enough acidity – good gravelly stuff. At least as good as a regular Graves. And some room for further development. For lovers of traditional claret with some richness this is GV . An Australian winemaker might want a cleaner, fresher expression of fruit. (JR)
